Foundations of Software Business: Becoming an author

Why become an author?

This book is a project of the Software Business Community; that is, you! Because we use a wiki-based collaboration platform, a larger number of authors with greater levels of collaboration among authors becomes feasible, resulting in a book that is much more comprehensive and multidisciplinary in its perspective than would be typical with traditional methods.

Why would you want to contribute to this book by becoming an author?

  • You want to help in fulfilling a need for a central reference work to announce the arrival of software business as a viable discipline with an associated committed research community and educational and research agenda.
  • You share the goal of creating educational resources for your students and future generations of students.
  • You desire to create a work with scope and ambition that would be beyond any individual or even research group.
  • You want to disseminate the insights of your and other's research with the goal of influencing industrial practice.
  • You want to empower businesspersons with more relevant future-facing knowledge of software technology, and empower software professionals with more knowledge of relevant business issues.
  • You are looking forward to the joy of working on this project with a group of like-minded and committed colleagues.
  • You are excited about participating in a thoroughly modern way of generating and maintaining a body of knowledge.
  • You want to demonstrate your good citizenship.

How to become an author

We need a collection of expert and experienced authors dedicated to the principles above. The Editorial Board will authorize authors on a chapter-by-chapter basis, and welcomes volunteers. You can volunteer at <<details>>.
